We are the FIA, the Fitness Industry Association, and as the nation’s industry body of gyms and leisure centres, we are all about promoting activity in the widest sense.

The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) has been set up to help safeguard and to promote the health and interests of people who are using the services of exercise and fitness instructors, teachers and trainers. The Register uses a process of self-regulation that recognises industry-based qualifications, practical competency, and requires exercise professionals to work within a Code of Ethical Practice. Members of the Register are given a card and registration certificate to prove their qualification and membership. Also known as the Exercise Register it operates in the UK and across the world to recognise personal achievement and competencies of qualified exercise professionals.

The NRPT is the UK's leading online and offline directory providing information about qualified and insured UK personal trainers. We are the only referral company to be working with the Government-backed Register of Exercise Professionals and we are the only directory that carefully vets it's members and requires them to submit official documents to prove their qualifications and experience.

The Association of Public Health Observatories (APHO) has designed the community health profiles tool to provide health information about local communities for local communities. Its data provides a set of indicators that give a comprehensive picture of health in each local authority area.
